Gautam Uday Chande is a civil engineer and structural rehabilitation consultant with 27 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, structural diagnostics, PMC, and rehabilitation projects in India and the U.S.A. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from the University of Pune and a Master of Science in Materials from Texas A&M University, U.S.A.
Mr. Chande has worked with leading organizations, including Texas Transportation Institute, HVJ Associates, and Walter P. Moore in Houston, where he contributed to major infrastructure, geotechnical, and structural investigation projects. He was involved In Several Projects To Investigate Probable Causes Of Structural Distress For Various Structures, such as homes, garages, and multi-storey buildings. Mr. Gautam Chande Also Worked On Setting Up a System To Continuously Measure And Record The ‘Sway’ Movement Of a garage, which led to a ‘Perceived Tilt’. He has also published a paper Development of a Test Method For The Measurement and Quantification Of The Coefficient of Thermal Expansion of Aggregate, ” ASCE April 1998. For the past two decades, he has been actively involved in PMC, structural consulting, and rehabilitation works in India.
He has also published technical research with ASCE and is associated with professional bodies such as the Practicing Engineers, Architects & Town Planners Association, Builders’ Association of India, ACI India, and ASIE. In addition, he served as President of the Rotary Club of Bombay West during 2021–22.

Preetam Uday Chande is a civil engineer with 23 years of experience in structural engineering, construction management, repair, and rehabilitation projects in India and the U.S.A. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from Walchand Institute of Technology, Solapur, and a Master of Engineering in Construction Management from Texas A&M University, U.S.A.
Mr. Chande has worked with organizations such as the Texas Transportation Institute, and AECOM in Houston. His experience includes structural design, concrete testing and research, construction supervision, quality control, project coordination, and infrastructure development, including a major $229 million tollway project in the U.S.A.
Since returning to India, he has been actively involved in structural and rehabilitation engineering projects.
